Our client, a global investment management firm, is looking to hire a Tech & Automation Intern who will support the Tech Team in delivering efficient IT operations while identifying opportunities to automate processes and improve workflows.
This role combines technical support, data analysis, and automation, providing hands-on exposure to IT infrastructure, business systems, and digital transformation initiatives across the firm.
Responsibilities
IT Support & Operations
- Provide first-level support for IT service requests and user issues
- Assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related problems
- Support system maintenance, backups, and routine IT operations
- Maintain logs of incidents, resolutions, and service requests
Process Automation & Optimization
- Identify repetitive manual processes across teams and recommend automation opportunities
- Build and maintain simple automation workflows (e.g., Zapier, Power Automate, scripts)
- Support integration between business tools and systems
- Document automation processes and workflows
User & Access Management
- Assist with user account creation, updates, password resets, and deactivations
- Support IT change management processes and system updates
- Help implement basic access controls and security best practices
Network, Systems & Website Support
- Assist in managing domains and DNS records
- Support website updates and monitoring
- Help track IT assets, subscriptions, and software licenses
- Assist with basic network monitoring and system performance checks
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Support development of simple reports and dashboards for IT and business teams
- Assist in analyzing system usage, IT performance, and service trends
- Contribute to data collection for operational and performance reporting
- Help identify insights for process improvement
Documentation & User Education
- Create and maintain IT documentation, guides, and SOPs
- Assist in developing user training materials and awareness content
- Support cybersecurity awareness initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Funds, Wealth, Finance, and Operations teams to understand needs
- Translate business requirements into technical or automation solutions
- Support implementation of digital tools across departments

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- Basic knowledge of IT systems, networking, or technical support
- Interest in data analysis, process improvement, and technology-driven solutions
- Basic knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Power Automate)
- Familiarity with data tools (Excel, Power BI, SQL is a plus)
- Basic understanding of APIs and integrations is an advantage
