    Team Lead - Sales (Institutional and Retail)

    Our client an asset management company in Lagos, Nigeria, is seeking to employ skilled and enthusiastic Team Leads for institutional(corporate and HNIs) and retail Sales, to join their dynamic team. As a Team lead, you would identify, develop and maintain strong client relationships, provide exceptional service, and drive business growth. 

    Responsibilities:

    ●        To establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring their investment needs are met and exceeding their expectations.

    ●        Drive revenue growth by effectively promoting and selling company's products and services to clients.

    ●        Constantly develop healthy pipeline deals and closing businesses.

    ●        Drive Regional AUM to meet and exceed budget.

    ●        Build and maintain a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, institutional clients, and corporate entities, actively engaging with them to understand their financial goals and needs.

    ●        Conduct comprehensive client assessments to identify investment opportunities and develop tailored investment strategies.

    ●        Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on financial planning, asset allocation, risk management, and investment solutions.

    ●        Monitor clients' portfolios, regularly reviewing their investment performance and proactively making adjustments as required.

    ●        Stay updated with market trends, investment products, and regulatory changes to effectively communicate investment insights and opportunities to clients.

    ●        Collaborate with internal teams such as research, operations, and compliance to ensure seamless client onboarding, servicing, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

     

    Report Line:

    You will report directly to the Head of Sales, who will provide guidance, support, and performance evaluations.

    Qualifications:

    ●        Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

    ●        Professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), or relevant certifications in wealth management and financial planning are highly desirable.

    ●        Membership in professional organizations such as the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) or the Financial Planning Association (FPA) would be an advantage.

    ●        Experience with a reputable Fund Manager, or merchant banks for corporate/institutional, and agency for retail respectively would also be an added advantage.

    Competencies:

    ●        Deep knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and asset management principles.

    ●        Strong understanding of investment strategies, risk management, and wealth preservation.

    ●        Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.

    ●        Proven track record in sales and relationship management, with the ability to identify and seize business opportunities.

    ●        Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct thorough financial analysis and provide sound investment advice.

    ●        Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to influence and engage with diverse stakeholders.

    ●        Proficient in using CRM software and other relevant tools to track client interactions and maintain accurate records.
