The MCGL-QoC project is currently on her penultimate year of implementation hence, need to reassess project implementation, re-strategize for optimal accomplishment of project objectives and re-invigorate the team for action in the next project year.
To achieve this goal, the team proposes sessions on team building during the workplan meeting for program year 2023/2024 to strengthen and reinvigorate the team for cohesiveness, collaboration, energy, trust and communication and generally improve the team's morale to perform optimally.
This meeting will bring together MCGL-QoC staff, and representatives from FMoH, and NPHCDA
Purpose and Scope
The overall purpose of this assignment/consultancy is to lead the MCGL QoC team through a mix of team building activities during the 5-day workplan meeting aimed at improving staff productivity and performance at the work place and strengthening team spirit, trust and collaboration among staff members.
The team building activities should focus on effective communication, conflict resolution, team morale raising and fun and challenging activities.
Responsibilities
Work with the planning committee towards planning of the team building exercise
Share specific team-building activities in line with the overall objective of the retreat/refresh to help the team to relax, refresh and re-strategize and clearly spelling out the objective and methodologies of each proposed activity.
Attend check-in meetings to prepare for the overall implementation of the activity.
Facilitate the team building sessions involving all members to promote team spirit, trust and collaboration among members in delivering high level results for MCGLQoC project
Improve the team's understanding, and skills of interpersonal communication, peoples’ skills, emotional intelligence and etc
Comprehensive but brief report of the exercise with actionable next steps
Assessment of the team building exercise via a post activity survey
Qualifications
At least 10 years of experience of organizational change management, organizational development and team building with Masters in relevant field.
Demonstrated knowledge and advanced skills and at least 8 years of previous experience in the preparation of Team Building, knowledge sharing and conducting sustainable team-building activities for INGOs
Excellent facilitation, Cultural sensitivity and communication skills in English (oral and written)
Strong organizational skills
Excellent rapporteur and analytical skills necessary for capturing the reviews and suggestions that will emerge from the interactive sessions during the exercise
Flexible nature and ability to adapt to changing directions/thinking that may occur during the Retreat
