The role supports the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives and programs.
They assist in designing and executing projects aimed at promoting environmental and social responsibility within the bank's operations.
The role is involved in conducting research, gathering data, and analyzing sustainability trends to provide valuable insights and recommendations. Also, they collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to drive the integration of sustainability practices into the bank's strategies and operations.
Key Result Areas
Understand the importance of business continuity planning in a bank, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, plan development, and the roles and responsibilities involved.
Identify common security threats and risks, and understand the importance of physical and IT infrastructure security in a banking environment.
Understand security policies and procedures and their role in maintaining a secure IT infrastructure.
Manage multiple stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams to achieve common goals.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders on routine and complex matters, proactively resolving issues and managing expectations independently.
Understand the banking industry, its key players, trends, market competition, regulations, and major economic conditions affecting the industry.
Understand basic CSR principles and practices, including social and environmental impact, community engagement, philanthropy, and legal or regulatory requirements.
Identify and communicate the bank's CSR risks, opportunities, and commitments to stakeholders.
Maintain personnel records in an organized manner, apply records management software, and ensure accuracy in record keeping.
Understand external relations principles, communicate effectively with external stakeholders, and support the design of the Enterprise Risk Management framework.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications, Banking & Finance, Business Administration any related field.
At least 3 years of cognate experience.
Additional academic qualification is an added advantage.
Relevant professional qualification is an added advantage e.g., CIBN, CIPM, PMP etc.
