We are looking for an experienced and skilled Surveyor to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting land, mining, and construction surveys, managing projects from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone with a few years of experience who is ready to take on more responsibility and grow within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct accurate volumetric surveys of stockpiles, pits, waste dumps, and ore bodies.
Prepare monthly and quarterly volumetric reports for production and planning departments.
Execute daily, weekly, and monthly mine surveys to support blasting, drilling, and production activities.
Carry out UAV (drone) flights and process data for generating 3D models and volumetric outputs (if applicable).
Maintain and calibrate survey instruments and ensure accuracy of equipment.
Update survey databases, digital terrain models (DTMs), and mine plans.
Provide survey support for mine expansion, engineering projects, and compliance requirements.
Ensure adherence to safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
Collaborate closely with geologists, mining engineers, and production teams.
Archive survey records and ensure data integrity and storage.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in land surveying, construction surveying, or a related field.
Competency in working with surveying instruments such as total stations, Global Positioning Systems, and laser scanners.
In-depth Knowledge of surveying principles, methods, and equipment.
Proficiency in the use of mapping software such as AutoCAD, GIS, Surfer, Excel, Matlab, and other relevant software in making and analyzing mine plans and maps is preferred
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Good attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
