Support Physiotherapist at Candlelight Foundation for Children with Special Needs

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the assessment and development of personalized physiotherapy plans under the supervision of the lead physiotherapist.
• Deliver hands-on physiotherapy sessions to children, both one-on-one and in small groups.
• Monitor progress and adapt treatment plans in response to the child’s evolving needs.
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, special educators, and families to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
• Support and educate parents and caregivers on home-based exercises and mobility techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of each child’s therapy sessions and progress reports.
• Participate in training workshops, team meetings, and community outreach programs.
• Uphold a safe, inclusive, and supportive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree or diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
• Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, is highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to working with children and families.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of pediatric conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, and developmental delays is an advantage.
• Must Reside in Lagos State
