Structural Manager at Fosad Consulting

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the structural engineering team, including mentoring and coaching staff to achieve project goals.
• Manage the planning, design, and construction phases of structural engineering projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans in collaboration with project stakeholders.
• Review and approve structural designs, calculations, and drawings to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to project specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other project team members to resolve design issues, address construction challenges, and facilitate project progress.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction activities, assess structural integrity, and ensure compliance with design plans and safety standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, innovation, and cost-saving initiatives within the structural engineering department.
• Stay current with advancements in structural engineering technologies, materials, and methodologies, and incorporate best practices into project designs.
• Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to address concerns, provide project updates, and ensure satisfaction with project outcomes.
• Collaborate with the project management team to develop strategies for project delivery, risk management, and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record of managing complex projects from conception to completion.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD.Pro.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project objectives.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Thorough understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to structural engineering.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with diverse project teams and collaborating effectively with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
