Structural Engineer at Urban Shelter Limited

Job Summary

• The Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing and reviewing structural components of buildings and infrastructure to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with engineering standards.

Job Details

• Review existing drawings and check conformity to design standards.
• Prepare working drawings using Revit/Robot structural software.
• Ensure all structural designs comply with relevant engineering codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Prepare structural designs, calculations, and analysis for building and infrastructure projects.  
• Use engineering software (e.g., Revit and Robot, AutoCAD, ETABS, STAAD Pro. SAP2000) to help with modeling, calculations, and layout development. 
• Assist with preparing technical reports, calculation sheets, and supporting documents for internal review or regulatory submissions. 

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, MSE will be an added advantage
• Minimum of four (4) - five (5) years progressive work experience in structural design or engineering
• Knowledge of engineering designs codes and standards.
• Proficiency in the use of structural design software (e.g., ETABS, STAAD Pro, Revit, Robo,SAP2000,AutoCAD) and others for modeling and analyzing structures.
• Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking.
• Strong understanding of construction materials (steel, concrete, timber, etc.,) and their properties, as well as construction processes and methods.
• Understanding of Safety and Regulatory Compliance.
• Strong Communication Skills.
• Attention to Detail and Precision.
