Job Overview

• We are seeking a detail-oriented, qualified, and proactive Structural Engineer to join our technical team in the Ogere/Sagamu area.
• In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing structural elements for building and infrastructure projects.
• You will ensure that all designs meet relevant building codes, safety standards, and structural integrity requirements from conceptual stages through to site execution.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Structural Design & Analysis: Perform detailed structural analysis and designs for concrete, steel, masonry, and timber structures using standard engineering software and manual calculations.
• Drawing & Detailing: Review, draft, and refine structural drawings, detailing, and rebar schedules to ensure full accuracy before site implementation.
• Site Inspections & Supervision: Conduct periodic site inspections to verify that construction aligns with approved structural plans, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, contractors, and site supervisors to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelines.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all structural designs comply with local building regulations, national codes, and health & safety protocols.
• Reports & Documentation: Prepare structural reports, material specifications, and technical assessments as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc./B.Eng.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 4-10 years of practical experience in structural design and site supervision.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Orion, ProtaStructure, STAAD.Pro, or Revit).
• Strong understanding of structural principles, soil mechanics, and building materials.
• Ability to interpret complex architectural and structural blueprints.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Location: Must be based in or willing to commute comfortably to the Ogere / Sagamu axis.
