Description 

• As the Storekeeper, you will be responsible for assisting the Inventory Supervisor in the efficient management of the company's inventory.
• This role will involve tasks such as receiving deliveries, storing items, and issuing stock to departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Inventory Supervisor in daily tasks and projects.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of inventory management procedures.
• Arrange and organize stock items in the warehouse or storage area to ensure efficient storage and retrieval.
• Label items clearly and accurately.
• Receive incoming deliveries, verifying quantity and quality against purchase orders.
• Assist in unloading and storing items.
• Inspect stock items for damage or defects before storing.
• Report any quality issues to the Inventory Supervisor.
• Label items with appropriate identification numbers or barcodes.
• Store items in designated locations according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of stock movements, including receipts, issues, and transfers.
• Update inventory records in the company's inventory management system.
• Assist the Inventory Supervisor in conducting regular stock audits.
• Verify the accuracy of inventory records against physical stock.
• Issue stock to departments as requested, following established procedures.
• Ensure that stock is issued in the correct quantities and conditions.

Qualifications

• BSc or HND in a relevant field from a reputable Institution.
• Experience in warehouse or inventory management is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physical fitness to handle heavy items.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in inventory management software.
