Our client is a multi-solution consulting firm with a passion for quality, honesty and excellence. They are seeking to recruit a Storekeeper.
The candidate would be working at their Lekki site and would be performing the following roles:
- Managing supplies and stocks.
- Accounting for the inward and outward movement of goods.
- Tracking the quality of supplier relations, effective stock management and the application of brand and Corporate Purchasing directives.
- Liaising with Project Accountant.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- HND in Business Administration, or in any other related field.
- Minimum of 2 years work experience as a Storekeeper in a construction or hospitality firm.
- Proficiency in the use of the computer especially in word processing, the use of spreadsheet programs and the internet.
- Good knowledge of Peachtree would be required to perform this role.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Solid mathematical and accounting skills and the ability to carry out financial analysis.
- Ethics, honesty and loyalty.
- The candidate should live within proximity to the Lekki axis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PROFESSIONAL TECHNIQUES / PRODUCTION
- Centralizes the needs of departments and ensures supplies.
- Ensures that deliveries correspond to orders and applies storage guidelines.
- Manages supplier relations.
- Indicates when stocks are running low or when they are excessive.
- Insures an optimal arrangement of the goods under his responsibility.
MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION
- Helps improve merchandise ratios.
- Applies the procedures regarding purchase orders, delivery slips and invoicing.
HYGIENE / PERSONAL SAFETY / ENVIRONMENT
- Is responsible of the cleanliness and the arrangement of the workplace, and the safety of goods.
- Respects the instructions and safety guidelines for equipment used.
- Responsible for Environment Charter (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc.)
- Applies the security regulations (in case of fire etc.)
Salary Range ₦300,000/month plus other statutory benefits.
Workdays: Mondays - Saturdays
Proximity of candidate to the Lekki Axis would be an added advantage+
