    Store & Inventory Officer

    Job Responsibilities

    Store & Inventory Management

    • Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials, tools, and equipment.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records for maintenance supplies, project materials, and asset spares.
    • Issue materials to maintenance teams, technicians, and project sites based on approved requisitions.
    • Track stock levels and ensure minimum/maximum stock thresholds are maintained.
    • Conduct routine stock counts (daily, weekly, and monthly) and reconcile discrepancies.

    Property & Asset Support

    • Manage inventory related to building maintenance (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, civil works).
    • Maintain proper tagging and documentation of tools and movable assets.
    • Support asset audits by providing inventory and usage records.
    • Monitor tool usage and reduce losses, misuse, or damage.

    Procurement & Logistics Coordination

    • Raise material requisitions and support procurement planning.
    • Coordinate movement of materials between store, warehouses, and project/property sites.
    • Verify vendor deliveries for quality, quantity, and specification compliance.
    • Maintain proper documentation for deliveries, issues, and returns.

    Reporting & Documentation

    • Prepare weekly and monthly inventory reports.
    • Maintain bin cards, stock ledgers, and digital inventory records.
    • Support management with inventory valuation and usage analysis.
    • Ensure all inventory records comply with company policies and audit requirements.

    Compliance & Safety

    • Ensure proper storage and handling of materials in line with HSE standards.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
    • Enforce inventory control procedures to prevent theft and wastage.

    Job Requirements & Qualifications

    • HND / B.Sc. in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
    • 2–5 years’ experience in storekeeping or inventory management, preferably in:
      • Property management
      • Facility management
      • Construction or project-based environments
    • Good knowledge of inventory control processes and store operations.
    • Ability to work across multiple sites within Lagos.

    Required Skills & Competencies

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic inventory tracking tools.
    • Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.
    • High level of honesty, accountability, and attention to detail.
    • Good communication and coordination skills.
    • Ability to work under minimal supervision.

    Added Advantages

    • Experience with CMMS, ERP, or inventory software (e.g., Odoo, SAP).
    • Knowledge of building materials and facility maintenance items.
    • Understanding of HSE procedures in construction or facility environments.
    • Experience supporting project-based inventory operations.
