The Store Attendant will be responsible for assisting customers, maintaining the store's appearance, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. This role requires excellent customer service skills and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers as they enter the store, providing a welcoming and helpful atmosphere.
Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products, prices, and promotions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment.
Stock shelves, arrange displays, and ensure products are correctly priced and labeled.
Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Handle customer complaints and returns professionally and efficiently.
Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to the Store Manager.
Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new merchandise.
Participate in regular inventory counts and audits.
Follow all store policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
Assist in opening and closing the store, as required.
Requirements
SSCE or equivalent.
Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Basic maths skills and proficiency in using POS systems.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move merchandise as needed.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
