Stock Controller at Domeo Resources International (DRI)

Department: Operations / Inventory Management
Reports To: Operations Manager / Finance Manager

Job Summary

The Stock Controller is responsible for managing and monitoring inventory levels to ensure accuracy, accountability, and efficient stock movement within the organization. The role involves receiving, recording, tracking, and reconciling stock while maintaining proper documentation and preventing inventory loss or discrepancies. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock deliveries.
• Conduct regular stock counts and inventory reconciliation.
• Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory items.
• Track stock movement and update inventory systems accordingly.
• Identify shortages, damages, or discrepancies and report promptly.
• Prepare inventory reports and submit them to management as required.
• Coordinate with procurement and operations teams to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with company inventory policies and procedures.
• Minimize stock loss, wastage, and pilferage.
• Maintain proper documentation of stock transactions and transfers.
• Support audits by providing accurate inventory records and reports.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of OND/HND/Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Officer, Storekeeper, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with inventory management software is an added advantage.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
