Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled Steel Fixer (Iron Bender) to cut, bend, and fix steel reinforcement bars (rebars) for construction projects.
• The ideal candidate must be experienced in interpreting structural drawings, assembling reinforcement, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Cut, bend, and install steel reinforcement bars according to approved drawings.
• Read and interpret construction and reinforcement drawings.
• Assemble and secure reinforcement for concrete structures.
• Measure, cut, and tie rebars accurately.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations on site.
• Work closely with supervisors and other construction personnel to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE, Trade Test, or relevant vocational qualification.
• 3 - 5 years of proven experience as a Steel Fixer (Iron Bender) in the construction industry.
• Ability to read and interpret reinforcement drawings.
• Good knowledge of steel fixing techniques and construction safety practices.
• Physically fit and able to work in a demanding construction environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
