State Manager at PalmPay

Job Summary

• The State Manager will be responsible for driving merchant acquisition, SME loan growth, and the performance of Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Business Developers (BDs) within the assigned state.
• The role requires strong leadership, market expansion expertise, and the ability to build, coach, and manage high-performing field sales teams while ensuring operational excellence and target achievement.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive merchant acquisition and SME business growth across the assigned state.
• Recruit, coach, and manage BDMs and BDs to achieve sales and productivity targets.
• Identify high-potential markets and develop effective expansion strategies.
• Monitor field activities, ensure compliance with SOPs, and improve market execution.
• Analyze sales performance and market trends to drive continuous improvement..

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
• 3-4 years’ experience in sales management, merchant acquiring, SME lending, agency banking, or fintech operations.
• Proven experience leading field sales teams and driving market expansion.
• Strong understanding of merchant acquisition, business development, and performance management.
• Experience in fintech, banking, digital lending, or microfinance is mandatory.
