Sourcing / Operations Associate

Our client, a Procurement and Logistics Company in Ikeja, Lagos State is currently recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Sourcing / Operations Associate 

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

The role of the Sourcing Associate is to assist the organization’s market position and achieve financial growth by identifying business opportunities, sourcing for, negotiating and closing RFQs, RFPs and ITBs.

Job Responsibilities

• Preparation, review and submission of quotes and proposals to clients.
• Preparation of presentations and tenders.
• Ensure all procurement activities are carried out in line with industry and company requirements.
• Arrange all post bid reviews with customers, as well as participate in post contract award processes.
• Quickly and effectively identify suitable suppliers and subcontractors upon receipt of RFQs or services, ensuring ensurimgquality and competitive price.
• Arrange all post bid reviews with customers, as well as participate in post contract award processes.
• To ensure a follow-up of all client instructions and agreements according to: Prices negotiation and conditions for all purchases and Delivery time of all purchased material.
• To set-up and maintain up-to-date library of suppliers and subcontractors products and services catalogs.
• To properly input and maintain data in the purchasing software.
• To inspect or organize and ensure inspection of all incoming goods.
• Utilization of the various online portals for submitting bids.
• Understanding of the statutory documents required for submitting bids.
• Maintain a high degree of safety and confidentiality of documents and company property.
• Follow up on all submitted RFQs.
• Create and maintain goodrelationshipswith buyers.

Key Requirements

• B.A / B.Sc / HND qualification
• At least 1 year work experience in a structured organization.
• Must be willing to travel when required.
• Excellent numeracy skills.
• Honesty and integrity
• Good multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent MS Excel skills.
• Good documentation skills
• Must be a team player.
