    • Negotiate prices, payment terms, credit arrangements, letters of credit, delivery schedules, incoterms, and contractual conditions to obtain best value.
    • Secure reliable long-term supply agreements that protect the company from price volatility, supply disruption, and quality risk.

    Cost Optimisation & Risk Management:

    • Monitor raw material price movements and advise management on cost risks, buying opportunities, and procurement timing.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternative sourcing, supplier competition, substitution, consolidation, bulk buying, and improved payment terms.
    • Develop supply risk mitigation plans, including dual sourcing, safety stock strategies, alternative supplier readiness, and contingency procurement plans.
    • Support landing cost analysis for imported materials, including freight, customs, clearing charges, duties, insurance, and foreign exchange exposure.

    • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure sourced materials meet approved technical specifications, regulatory standards, and food safety requirements.
    • Coordinate with Finance on procurement budgets, payment schedules, supplier credit terms, LC processing, and cash flow alignment.
    • Partner with Warehouse and Logistics teams to ensure timely delivery, proper documentation, inventory visibility, and prevention of stock-outs.

Compliance, Documentation & Supplier Relationship Management:

    • Ensure supplier compliance with NAFDAC, SON, import regulations, food safety requirements, company quality standards, and approved procurement procedures.
    • Maintain complete procurement documentation, including RFQs, quotations, supplier contracts, certificates of analysis, regulatory certificates, import documents, and performance records.
