As Social Media Intern, you will be working on the Get Global program which is a knowledge-based community and career accelerator designed to build a bridge between the African and Global tech ecosystems.
We re-skill African tech professionals and support them in securing global job opportunities. We believe that with the right skills, culture, and experience, African software engineers can compete with the best in the world.
What you will be doing?
Create content for social media platforms, including graphics, videos, photos, and captions
Schedule and publish social media posts on various platforms at optimal times
Design and publish Newsletters for the Get Global community
Monitor and analyze social media metrics, such as engagement rates, reach, and impressions, and create reports
Respond to customer service inquiries, comments, and reviews on social media accounts
Research social media trends and best practices to optimize the company's social media presence
Requirements
Strong writing and communication skills
Creativity and the ability to think outside the box
Knowledge of social media platforms and trends
Familiarity with graphic design and video editing software such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or Final Cut Pro
Nice to Have:
Understanding of SEO and how it relates to social media
