Social Media Intern at Pulse NG

Position Summary

• We are looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Intern to join the Pulse Nigeria team. 
• As an intern, you will support the social media and content team in creating engaging video and written content for our platforms. 
• You'll assist in community management, content planning, trend research, and performance tracking, contributing to the growth of our brand and audience engagement.
• This internship offers hands-on experience in digital media and content creation, giving you the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the industry while working in a vibrant, pan-African media company.

Duties and Responsibilities
As a Social Media Intern, you will:

• Support in creating video content and written copy for Pulse Nigeria’s social media channels.
• Help draft captions, headlines, and descriptions that capture attention and encourage interaction.
• Assist in scheduling content (posts, stories, reels) across Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook.
• Engage with our online community by liking, responding to comments/messages, and moderating comments.
• Monitor social media trends and share ideas that align with what’s trending.
• Help track performance using tools like Instagram Insights and TikTok Analytics.
• Assist in creating basic social media reports for the team to review.
• Attend team brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for campaigns and content.
• Participate in event coverage (on-site or online), helping document and post in real time.
• Work with team members from editorial, video, and sales to ensure content goals are aligned.

Requirements
What we’re looking for:

• Candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 0 - 1 year work experience.
• Passion for digital media, content creation, and social media.
• Basic knowledge of platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter.
• Familiarity with content creation tools like Canva, CapCut, or similar (a plus).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and take feedback positively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• A team player with a creative mindset.
