The Social Media & Content Assistant supports the planning, execution, and day-to-day management of digital content and online interactions. This role focuses on building a strong online presence through consistent content, meaningful engagement, and organized platform management.
The ideal candidate is creative, responsive, and detail-oriented, with a good understanding of how social media content connects with audience behavior.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Engagement & Community Support
- Respond to messages, comments, and inquiries across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain positive and helpful interactions with online audiences
- Monitor conversations and audience feedback to support overall communication strategy
- Escalate complex or high-priority inquiries when necessary
Content Support & Audience Interaction
- Support the execution of daily content (posts, reels, stories, videos) across platforms
- Engage with users interacting with content to encourage conversations and build community
- Assist in guiding interested customers by providing clear and helpful information
- Ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and brand representation across all interactions
Script Writing & Content Messaging
- Assist in developing scripts for videos, livestreams, and social media content
- Support writing captions, hooks, and call-to-actions that align with brand voice
- Contribute ideas for content themes, storytelling approaches, and trending topics
- Ensure messaging is clear, engaging, and audience-friendly
Content Planning & Coordination
- Assist in organizing and maintaining weekly and monthly content calendars
- Support scheduling and timely publishing of content across platforms
- Coordinate with design and video teams to ensure smooth content delivery
- Ensure content aligns with campaigns, promotions, and overall communication goals
Livestream & Campaign Support
- Support livestream sessions by engaging with viewers and responding to comments
- Assist with sharing product or service information during live sessions
- Help maintain an engaging and well-organized live interaction environment
- Support pre- and post-campaign activities as required
Reporting & Insights
- Maintain records of online interactions, inquiries, and general activity
- Track engagement trends such as comments, messages, and audience responses
- Provide basic updates and observations to support content improvement
- Share feedback from customers to help refine communication strategies
Requirements
- Experience or strong interest in social media, content creation, or digital marketing
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of content planning and social media platforms
- Ability to write clear, engaging, and audience-friendly content

Compensation & Benefits
- Monthly Salary: ₦150,000 – ₦200,000 (based on experience)
