Job Description

• We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Associate to join our team. As a Social Media Associate, you will be responsible for managing, creating, and monitoring content across all social media platforms for the school.
• This role offers the opportunity to showcase your creativity, strategic thinking, and social media expertise to engage with our community and promote the school's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement social media strategies to increase engagement, followership, and brand awareness.
• Create and curate compelling content (including graphics, videos, and written posts) for all social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
• Manage and schedule posts using social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.)
• Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and engage with followers in a timely and professional manner.
• Analyze social media metrics and performance data to identify trends, optimize content, and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of messaging and branding across all social media channels.
• Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and minimize downtime
• Provide regular reporting and insights to the marketing team and school leadership
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to keep our social media strategy fresh and innovative.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in social media marketing, content creation, or a related field
• Proven track record of success in creating engaging social media content and growing online communities
• In-depth knowledge of all major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, etc.)
• Excellent content creation skills (graphic design, video editing, writing, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Familiarity with SEO principles and online reputation management
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

Nice to Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• Experience working in an educational setting or with youth-focused content
• Certification in social media marketing
