    • Producing maps using GPS, surveying instruments, digital images, and satellite photographs
    • Assessing land due for redevelopment
    • Monitoring changes in the land before, during, and after the construction process
    • Determine longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in survey areas, using theodolites, transits, levels, and satellite-based global positioning systems (GPS)
    • Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, and reports of surveys to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
    • Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features
    • Assessment of soil resistance and other soil parameters to analyze the long-term impact of civil work with special focus on PV installation.

    Community Engagement:

    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with local communities affected by mini-grid projects.
    • Communicate effectively with community leaders, residents, and other stakeholders to address concerns and promote understanding of project benefits.

    Safety Compliance:

    • Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures for all logistics activities related to the mini-grid, including transportation of equipment and materials.
    • Conduct or coordinate safety training programs for logistics staff and ensure all personnel involved in logistics operations are aware of and adhere to safety standards.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments of logistics operations and identify potential hazards. Develop mitigation plans to address these risks.
    • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and compliance documents related to logistics operations.

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of 2 years of work experience and 1 year of experience in a similar role within the energy/infrastructure/development sector.
    • Graduate from a leading institution with a related degree in GIS/Surveying and other related subjects. Postgraduate degree and/or related professional qualifications, a plus.
    • This position requires an in-depth understanding of GIS/Survey capabilities, critical thinking, and the ability to provide time-bound solutions to the benefit of the company.
    • Excellent skills with QGIS or ArcGIS, Google Earth, Microsoft Office tools and project management tools (MS Project, Power BI, etc)
