Job Description

• The Shop Floor Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily activities on the production floor, ensuring smooth workflow, optimal productivity, adherence to quality standards, and coordination between departments.
• This role involves managing work schedules, tracking production progress, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations on the shop floor to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Monitor workflow and assign tasks to production staff accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Report production updates, delays, or issues to management.
• Maintain accurate records of materials usage, production output, and workforce attendance.
• Liaise with warehouse, quality control, and maintenance teams to resolve bottlenecks.
• Train and mentor new and existing shop floor staff as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
• Conduct routine checks to ensure machinery and equipment are functioning properly.
• Enforce company policies and safety procedures on the floor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
• Proficiency with basic computer and reporting tools.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of production safety standards and manufacturing processes.
