Shift-in-Charge Electrical at Ascentech Services Limited

We are hiring a Shift-in-Charge Electrical (Assistant Manager) for a reputable manufacturing power plant in Sagamu. This is a key leadership role requiring in-depth expertise in power plant electrical systems, team supervision, and adherence to safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all electrical operations during assigned shifts across the power plant.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in power distribution, HT & LT panels, and DCS automation systems.
• Monitor and ensure optimal operation of Travelling Grate Boilers and Turbines.
• Enforce adherence to standard operating procedures and safety regulations.
• Lead and mentor on-shift electrical technicians and engineers.
• Maintain detailed logs of operations, breakdowns, and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate and execute maintenance activities during off-crop seasons.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Promote a strong culture of continuous improvement and operational safety.

Qualifications & Requirements

• B.Tech / B.E / B.Sc / HND in Electrical Engineering
• Competency Certification is mandatory
• Boiler Operating Engineers (BOE) certification is a plus
• Membership in COREN, NSE, or other relevant professional bodies
• 7–9 years of experience in power plant operations (Bagasse-based plant experience is an added advantage)
• Hands-on experience with:
•  Travelling Grate Boilers (87 bar+)
•  Fuel & Ash Handling Systems
•  DCS Automation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proven leadership and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
