Senior Technical Procurement Officer at Merit Telecoms

• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve the effectiveness
• Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
• Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
• Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
• Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
• Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
• Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
• Preparing budgets and cost analysis
• Writing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
• Supervise Procurement/Warehouse team
• Control spending and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
• Supervising employees and activities of the department.
• Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
• Managing inventories/warehouse and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
• Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
• Design, implement and enforce the company\\\'s procurement policies and procedures.
• Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies
• Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
• Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
• Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
• Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
• Examine and test existing contracts

Requirements:

• BSc/HND/B.Eng in Social-science or Engineering courses.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Procurement role in Telecoms Industry
• Candidate must possess the practical & technical experience and must have managed a small team, and coordinated projects previously and successfully. 
• Must demonstrate sound authority as a professional with technical skills.
• Membership of relevant professional bodies + higher degree required and a key
• player in the chosen field and profession.

Salary Budget:
200K – 300K Net
