The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations and be able to apply this knowledge to help clients optimize their tax strategy and minimize their tax liability.
Key Functions/Responsibilities
Provide tax consulting services to clients, including tax planning, compliance, and audit support
Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and advise clients on how these changes may impact their tax strategy
Conduct tax research and analysis to identify tax savings opportunities and develop tax planning strategies for clients
Collaborate with other members of the tax team to ensure client needs are met and that work is completed on time and to a high standard
Review tax returns prepared by junior team members and provide guidance and feedback as needed
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and act as a trusted advisor on tax matters
Participate in business development activities, such as client pitches and proposal writing
Mentor and train junior team members on tax-related matters
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
At least 10 years of experience working in tax consulting
ACA/ACCA/ CITN certification is required
Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with a focus on corporate tax and individual tax planning
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
