Senior Principal Java Engineer at KloudOpp Limited

About the Role

• KloudOpp Limited is seeking an exceptional Senior Principal Java Engineer with deep mastery across modern and legacy Java ecosystems — including Java SE 6 → Java 23, Jakarta EE, Spring Framework 3 → Spring Boot 3.x, Micronaut, Quarkus, and large-scale JVM systems.
• This role is for an engineering leader capable of architecting and building cloud-native microservices, secure enterprise applications, modern monoliths, and highly complex business logic–driven systems.
• You must have delivered solutions across FinTech, HealthTech, Blockchain, and Logistics and be comfortable working on live production platforms.
• The ideal candidate is hands-on, advanced in system design, and strong in leading architecture decisions.
• The engineer must also be able to teach, mentor, and demonstrate concepts live.
• A security background check, rigorous technical assessment, and public GitHub projects are required.

Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Engineering:

• Architect and build enterprise-grade microservices using Java 11–23, Spring Boot, Micronaut, or Quarkus.
• Design modern, secure monolithic applications where domain cohesion is required.
• Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, and CQRS patterns.
• Lead high-level technical decision-making and system design sessions.

Cloud, Infrastructure & DevOps:

• Build, deploy, and manage Java platforms on AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Design CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation (Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes), and manage observability.
• Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, encryption, and compliance.

Java & JVM Engineering
Demonstrate mastery in Java core concepts:

• Concurrency, multithreading
• Memory management & JVM tuning
• Reactive programming
• Streams, Lambdas, Collections, Generics
• Functional programming patterns
• Build robust APIs, microservices, event processors, streaming services (Kafka, Pulsar, Kinesis), and background workers.

Database & Storage:

• Work hands-on with SQL and NoSQL databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, Elasticsearch.
• Design and optimize relational schemas, indexing strategies, and transactional workflows.
• Implement messaging and event storage solutions.

Security & Compliance:

• Build and maintain highly secure applications following OWASP, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and enterprise-grade best practices.
• Participate in and pass security background verification.

Teaching, Leadership & Collaboration:

• Mentor engineers through detailed code reviews, training sessions, and architectural walkthroughs.
• Teach and guide internal cohorts or external learners when needed.
• Work on live client projects, delivering demos and supporting engineering teams.

Required Experience

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree
• 10+ years of enterprise Java engineering experience.
• Expertise with Java SE 6 → 23, Spring Boot, and modern Java frameworks.
• Strong experience with microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures.
• Background in FinTech, HealthTech, Blockchain, and Logistics.
• Solid DevOps skills across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Strong experience with relational & non-relational databases.
• Experience teaching, mentoring, or leading senior engineering discussions.
• Must pass security background checks.
• Must pass rigorous technical assessment.
