    Senior Operations Manager

    Accountabilities (Responsibilities)

    Strategy and Planning

    • Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures.
    • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.
    • Establish policies that promote company culture and vision.
    • Oversee daily operations of all the company’s operating units.
    • Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
    • Evaluate company performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics.
    • Write and submit reports to the Directors in all matters of importance (as required).
    • Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)
    • Participate in strategic and operational governance processes of FOCUS as a member of the senior management team.
    • Lead operations strategic planning to achieve FOCUS goals by fostering innovation, initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future systems across the company.
    • Identify opportunities for the appropriate and costeffective investment of financial resources within Structured group. 
    • Assess and communicate risks associated with IT products and other investments.
    • Develop, Track and control annual operating budgets.
    • Develop business case justifications and cost/ benefit analysis for the organizations spending and initiatives.
    • Direct development and execution of companywide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
    • Assess and make recommendations on the improvement or reengineering of operational systems within the organization.

    Product Development

    • Creating and enhancing products that fill a niche in the market or allow clients/customers to remain competitive. 
    • Analyze market data to develop sales strategies and define product objectives for effective marketing communications plans.
    • Consulting market research materials and sales data to ensure that Structured group products are viable and competitive.
    • Responsible for researching and developing new products and making modifications to existing manufacturing systems to improve overall efficiency and profitability.
    • Staying up to date with products on the markets and clients
    • Making improvements or modifications to current processes
    • Suggest product enhancements to improve user experience.
    • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify, and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
    • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, highlevel use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI.
    • Perform quality assurance controls on products.
    • Coordinate with the required department to deliver functional solutions.
    • Conduct research to identify customer needs and market gaps.
    • Prioritize the implementation of new features and set specific timelines.
    • Liaise with relevant department to ensure proper sales, advertisement and positioning of new products.
    • Monitor and report on users’ reactions after launching.
    • Collaborate with relevant department to create support and training documents for internal and external users.
    • Analyze competition.
    • Ensure the continuous delivery of services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of systems performance.
    • Ensure business operations adhere to applicable laws and regulations.
    • Keep current with trends and issues in the IT, Finance, Energy and power industry, including current technologies and prices. Advise, counsel, and educate management on their competitive or financial impact.
    • Promote and oversee strategic relationships between all internal resources and external entities.
    • Supervise recruitment, development, retention, and of staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies.

    Required Qualification:

    • Bachelor’s degree in operations management or related field.
    • Experience in management, operations, and leadership.
    • Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cashflow management.
    • Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Solid understanding of financial management.
