Senior Network Security Engineer at Portrec Resourcing

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust security solutions for ISP and telecom infrastructure.
• Manage and configure Cisco Firepower and Sophos XGS Next-Gen Firewalls.
• Deploy and support VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL), SD-WAN, and remote access.
• Administer and optimize CGNAT systems for scalable NAT management.
• Secure routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, and Layer 3 configurations.
• Perform threat analysis, vulnerability mitigation, and risk assessments.
• Lead forensic investigations and post-incident reviews.
• Collaborate with NOC, SOC, and infrastructure teams for holistic security.
• Maintain accurate security documentation and network configurations.
• Provide on-call/off-hours support to ensure 24/7 operational security.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in network security engineering, preferably in an ISP or telecom setting.
• Expertise in firewall technologies, VPNs, routing, and CGNAT systems.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, technical support, OS administration, and network documentation.
• Strong analytical skills and full-stack awareness.
• Ability to work hybrid (onsite + remote) and respond quickly to incidents.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
