Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline is required
At least 10 years relevant working experience
Working knowledge of a wide range of data center and Network technologies including LAN, WAN, Firewalls (Sophos and Cisco), Fibre Optics, VPN Networks
Experience with Avionics and other Airline commercial and operational software will be an advantage
Experience in back-end development (C#, python, or java) would be an added advantage
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proven ability to multi-task and operate in a dynamic enterprise environment
Strong negotiating and relationship management skills are essential
Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills
Job role
Designing and Managing of extensive enterprise WAN and LAN Networks
Responsible for server installation, maintenance, and administration (Linux and Windows)
Implementing and managing of Avionics, commercial and operations infrastructure both software and hardware
Configuring, implementing, and managing backup strategy for all IT applications, Cloud Infrastructure (Azure, AWS) and Centralized Security Infrastructure
Monitoring internal and external threats to Green Africa
Producing, reviewing, and amending Company Policies and Standard Operating Procedures relating to IT Infrastructure
Implementing and managing of SSL infrastructure (certificates issuance and configuration)
Management of Green Africa’s data storage infrastructure and database (SQL, Online/Offline Datastores)
Evaluating and deploying new services and functions as needed
Administration of DNS
Ensuring all IT infrastructure designs are up to date
And any other tasks assigned by the Director of IT and Innovation
