Senior Internal Auditor at eRecruiter Nigeria

Our Client, one of the fastest growing indigenous companies providing Oil and Gas downstream services with their head office in the commercial city of Lagos are looking to bring on-board the services of a Senior Internal Auditor.

Location of the role: Kwale, Delta State.

Key Responsibilities:

• Onsite daily supervision of all Audit-related activities and issues and escalation of critical issues to Head Quarters for prompt attention.
• Review of all requests and ensuring that all Audit’s concerns are addressed before clearing same.
• Review invoices to ensure that adequate value has been received before passing them.
• Review the actual utilization of all funds disbursed to Kwale Base for operation expenses
• Conduct market survey and gather data that can be used to verify the cost of request.
• Analyze current and future business risk and recommend mitigation.
• Represent Audit in the daily administration of site operations. Providing advice where to others where needed.
• Take commendable initiative in company’s best interest in an emergency situation and escalate as may be necessary.
• Any other role as may be assigned by the GIA from time to time in the best interest of the company.
   

Required Skillset

• Ability to manage a team and handle crisis with tact.
• Knowledge of procurement and market intelligence data gathering is essential.
• Must be courageous and objective with high degree of integrity.
• Must possess the ability to work in harmony with other units without compromising Audit objective.
• Must be able to analyze the risks of daily operation and emerging issues and proffer solutions or escalate where necessary.
• Must be able to form an objective independent opinion on issues based on available facts, regardless of popular opinion.
• Ability to take commendable initiative in an emergency situation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years as an Internal Auditor.
• First degree in Accounting, Business Administration or similar discipline. 
• Candidates residing in Kwale environs,  Delta will have a preferred advantage.
