Background:

Chris-Ejik Group of Companies invites applications for the position of Senior Internal Auditor. We are seeking a talented Senior Internal Auditor who will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes within the company. This role involves planning and executing audits, identifying areas for operational improvement, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing recommendations to enhance efficiency and reduce risks.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal audit plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits across various departments.
• Assess risks and internal controls, identifying weaknesses and recommending improvements.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, summarizing findings, risks, and suggested corrective actions.
• Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, industry regulations, and legal standards.
• Collaborate with management to enhance processes and operational efficiency.
• Assist in fraud investigations and special audit assignments as required.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and changes in regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior auditors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Perform other job-related duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.

Educational Requirements

• The candidate should have at least, BSc or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

Core Competencies

• Have a minimum of 5-7 years post NYSC experience as an Internal Auditor.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, or CISA.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk assessment, and internal control frameworks.
• Experience with data analytics tools and audit software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Be proficient in using audit accounting tools, data analysis tools and Microsoft Office Applications.
