Senior Engineer / Technical Troubleshooter at Ascentech Services Limited

Job Summary

• We are hiring experienced Senior Engineers/Technical Troubleshooters to join our automobile workshop team. 
• The ideal candidates must have 7 - 10 years of hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining modern petrol and diesel vehicles, including SUVs and trucks. 
• This role requires expertise in troubleshooting complex engine and gearbox faults, using advanced diagnostic tools, and executing high-quality repairs with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot engine and gearbox issues in petrol and diesel vehicles.
• Use ECU scanners and diagnostic software to identify and resolve vehicle error codes.
• Independently repair and maintain automatic and pneumatic gearboxes for cars, SUVs, and trucks.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to enhance vehicle performance and longevity.
• Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and best practices in vehicle repairs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation of all repairs and diagnostics.
• Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic methods, and repair techniques.

Qualifications & Requirements

• HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Automobile, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
• 7 - 10 years of verifiable experience in an automotive company.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical faults.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Extensive knowledge of modern petrol and diesel engines, especially Euro 4/Euro 5 standards.
• Proficiency in using vehicle ECU scanners and diagnostic software to detect and rectify faults.
• Experience handling diesel truck gearboxes is an added advantage.
