Job Summary

• The Senior Electrical Design Engineer oversees design processes and site inspections, supervising MEP contractors to ensure progress aligns with approved drawings and materials.
• The role demands a consultancy background, effective site coordination, and strong project management skills.

Tasks and Duties
Design and Drafting:

• Develop designs for electrical systems including Medium and Low Voltage Power, Lighting, and Low Current Systems.
• Prepare technical content for tender documents, engineering designs, feasibility reports, and specifications.
• Perform electrical engineering calculations and system analyses.

Site Supervision:

• Ensure execution aligns with approved shop drawings (site inspections required).
• Report daily progress to the General Manager and plan subsequent tasks.
• Inspect materials on-site and prepare requirements for upcoming phases.

Project Management:

• Address work non-conformities with recommendations.
• Supervise testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems.
• Evaluate contractor performance and analyze engineering issues with resolutions.

Consultancy and Development:

• Build and maintain client relationships.
• Represent the firm at industry events.
• Contribute to company growth and uphold professional standards.

Person Specifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum).
• NSE & COREN Certification required.
• 10 - 20 years of consultancy experience in Nigeria.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Dialux.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Work Environment: Normal office environment with site visits.
