Job Summary:

The Senior Construction Manager - Marine and Coastal is responsible for overseeing and managing complex construction projects within marine and coastal environments. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Management: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Construction Oversight: Oversee all aspects of marine and coastal construction projects, including site preparation, dredging, piling, and installation of marine structures.
• Team Leadership: Lead and manage construction teams, subcontractors, and consultants, ensuring clear communication and coordination across all project phases.
• Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Safety Management: Ensure all construction activities adhere to safety regulations and industry best practices, promoting a culture of safety on-site.
• Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards, minimizing the impact of construction activities on marine and coastal ecosystems.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction, utilizing strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, reports, and change orders.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in marine and coastal construction projects.
• Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license, Project Management Professional (PMP), or other relevant certifications are advantageous.
• Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), and knowledge of marine and coastal construction techniques and technologies.
