    Senior Associate, Sustainability Partnerships and Engagements

    Main Purpose of the Job

    • A Senior Associate for the LBS Sustainability Centre is to lead projects of the LBS sustainability Centre and champion sustainability initiatives of Lagos Business School at large.
    • He/She should carry out their tasks with the aim of influencing management practice in the area of sustainability and responsible business and management.

    Key Job Responsibilities

    • Provide expertise, innovation and creativity in broadening programme and grant opportunities in the Centre’s thematic focus areas
    • Create and nurture relationships with companies, grantors, and institutions to develop a network of enthusiastic organisations engaged and supporting Centre programs.
    • Monitor, document, advice and report on ongoing engagements and partner programmes in line with LBS’ objectives, UN Principles for Responsible Management (PRME), LBS Sustainability Reporting Framework
    • Develop proposals, concept notes and make grant and project recommendations to decision-makers
    • Identify and explore local and international trends and opportunities for the Centre and LBS as a whole
    • Lead fundraising activities and grant sourcing to fund Centre activities
    • Attend meetings with and manage relationships with LBS stakeholders and member organisations
    • Design and implement engagement and marketing plan of the Centre
    • Review evaluations and program feedback including that from external partner organisations; assess programming for continuous improvement
    • Designs and recommends programs, projects and activities relating to programmes research, and industry projects
    • Drive marketing activities to meet Centre financial objectives
    • Working with internal units and students, develop and advise on initiatives for students, participants, alumni, staff and external partner’s engagement on sustainability and responsible management education to improve the school’s overall sustainability performance
    • Serve as LBS designate to partner organisations when necessary.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of a Master’s Degree.

    Cognate Experience:

    • Minimum of Four (4) years of working experience in sustainability practice, think-tank, research institute, or consulting/advisory firm. Experience in sustainability, research, business development and project management.

    Professional Qualification:

    • Postgraduate training and membership of a related professional body is an advantage.
