Responsibilities

• Post daily accounting entries based on transactions of the company
• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
• Prepare monthly cashflows in accordance with the budgets
• Prepare financial statements and produce a budget according to schedule
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns
• Coordinate and manage external audits to ensure compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields along with Formal Finance or Accountancy qualifications/certifications (ACCA, ACA, CIMA etc.).
• Professional fluency in English is essential, both written and spoken.
• Several years оf experience in an accounting/finance function, ideally within a training/educational business environment.
• Experience working in a matrix organization.
• functional reporting and partnering with stakeholders.
• Exceptional organization and communication skills to manage internal stakeholders and end users.
• Adaptable personality and technical skills, detail oriented and analytical thinking, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (mainly Microsoft Excel).
• Must have completed the compulsory 1-year NYSC or have an exemption certificate.
• A valid and up to date National Identity Card/NIMC slip is required upon commencement of this role.
