    Security Supervisor

    Job brief

    We are looking to recruit a security supervisor who will be responsible for supporting the Chief Security Officer in implementing, overseeing, and monitoring all security matters and the enforcement of security policies and regulations for the protection of the guests, employees, properties and classified information and from injury, damage, loss, and theft.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Security staff is supervised and ensure they discharge their duties effectively.
    • 24-hour security coverage is provided through the Hotel.
    • Knowledge of all local laws is understood and adhered to.
    • Plays an active role as a member of the Hotel's Emergency Response Team.
    • Effective access control, key control and material control systems have been put in place as measures of preventative security.

    • Investigations have been conducted and concluded in case of theft, loss, acts of vandalism, arson, accident or any other incident of a security nature.
    • All surveillance equipment is operated and maintained according to standards.
    • Regular security rounds are performed daily within the 24-hour period.
    • Security Log is updated on a daily basis and forwarded to the Executive Assistant Manager for review.
    • Supervision and assessment of contracted security company is completed daily.
    • To have full working knowledge and capability to supervise, train, correct and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned place of work according to the standards operating procedures.
    • To assign responsibilities to staff members, implementing multi-tasking and periodic performance checks.
    • To assist in planning the weekly working schedules to ensure that the outlets/sections are adequately staffed to handle the levels of business.
    • Assist in the conducting of annual performance evaluations.
    • To ensure that all employees report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times.
    • Assist in the training of the employees ensuring that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties with the maximum levels of productivity and efficiency.
    • To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in regards to the hotel policy on Fire, Hygiene, and Health & Safety.
    • To ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported and rectified immediately.
    • To have a complete understanding of the Hotel’s Employee Handbook and adhere to the regulations contained within.
    • Performs any other duties as assigned to him/her by management.

    Qualification standards

    • Training in Fire Fighting, First Aid and Life Saving drills from a certified institution.
    • Previous experience in security setup is mandatory.
    • Totally embrace the philosophy of guest and customer service and own the guests.
    • Identify yourself with the hotel’s brand and operating philosophy.
    • Possess a warm and friendly demeanor.
    • Strive to achieve satisfaction and delight of internal and external customers.
    • Are detail oriented and hands on.
    • A team player with strong interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrate self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm.
    • Have immaculate personal presentation e.g. grooming and conversational ability.
    • Uphold ethical business practices.

    Qualification

    • Bachelor degree is required.
    • Psychical condition required for your role
    • Should be physically fit with no disability and should be able to move around tirelessly to various corners of the hotel and reach to the scene of incident immediately.
    • Should be quick at the uptake, grasp a situation and be able initiate appropriate action.
    • Mentally alert and robust and should be able undergo sustained hard
