    • Maintain proper feeding, grooming, medical care, and housing of the dog as per welfare standards.
    • Ensure the dog is trained and alert for operational deployment at all times.
    • Observe and report suspicious activity, unauthorized persons, or irregularities.
    • Work closely with security teams, supervisors, and control room staff for coordinated operations.
    • Assist in crowd control or high-risk escort operations when necessary.
    • Maintain logs and records of patrols, incidents, and canine performance.
    • Participate in drills and refresher training sessions to maintain handler readiness and dog performance.

    • Minimum of secondary school education; additional security training or certifications preferred.
    • Dog Handling Certification from a recognized institution (e.g., NASDU, NPCC, or equivalent).
    • First Aid and Basic HSE training are added advantages.

    Experience:

    • At least 2–4 years’ experience in private security, military, or law enforcement.
    • Minimum of 1 year experience as a professional dog handler, ideally in an industrial or high-security environment.
    • Familiarity with oil and gas facility security protocols is a plus.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Proficiency in handling security dogs (patrol, explosive detection, tracking).
    • Strong observation, alertness, and situational awareness.
    • Physically fit and capable of walking long patrol routes or responding rapidly to threats.
    • Ability to work under pressure, during night shifts, and in isolated or challenging environments.
