Security Coordinator - PHC at Aldelia Limited

SERVICE DIMENSIONS

• Administration and Coordination of Security activities in the Port Harcourt Main Base and Staff Residential Areas
• Coordination of 388 Civil Security personnel, and other armed Security personnel MOPOL,

Activities

• Planning and Organizing all Security operations in the main base for Access Control functions
• Develop a security service plan for security personnel
• Develop standards for effective access control functions
• Advice on personnel training through periodic seminars and workshops to enhance performance
• Ensure proper screening of visitors to the base
• Ensure availability of security gadgets and tools viz; radios, vests, detectors, under search mirrors etc.
•  Supervise the implementation of approved Access control procedures in PHC office.

Address requests

• Collect and process request for guards
• Process VMS request, Grant approvals and Escalate request for higher approval when necessary
• Plan, access all security needs for Ogoja club and Main base party functions
•  Work in tandem with other security outfits to safeguard personnel and property 
•  Prepare security teams for emergency response
•  Make estimates for security needs at events and other functions within and outside the base
• Supervise and monitor security personnel performance
• Set-up beats/ teams with unit supervisors for effective monitoring
• Assign guard coordinators to locations for effective supervision and collation/gathering of intelligence for analysis
• Main base Security Risk Assessment and control
• Check of compliance to Rules and Standards
• Report process performance
• Security breaches, incidents, and downgraded situations
• Make recommendations and sanction erring personnel
• Process follow-up data
• Report daily access statistic and vehicular movement 
• Participate in Port-Harcourt security performance meeting
• Report Main Base and residential location security status and make recommendations

Context and Environment

• High risk, sensitive environment with unpredictable situations with occasional community issues.
• Under-equipped, and inadequately trained security personnel in regard to company security requirements and culture.

 Qualifications / experience required

• University degree or HND in social sciences, arts or engineering.
• 5 to 10 years experience in armed forces or security organisation. Position in Oil and Gas industry will be an added advantage.
• Eessential skills – Personal leadership skills, time management, relationship and team building, problem solving, good initiative and good decision-making skills.
