Job Summary

• The School Counsellor is responsible for supporting the academic, emotional, social, and behavioural development of secondary school students.
• The counsellor provides guidance services, career counselling, and early intervention support to help students achieve personal growth, well-being, and academic success.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counselling to students on academic, personal, emotional, and social issues
• Support students with behavioural challenges, peer relationships, and emotional well-being
• Identify at-risk students and implement early intervention strategies
• Offer career guidance and subject selection support for students
• Collaborate with teachers, school leadership, and parents to support student development
• Conduct workshops on study skills, mental health awareness, life skills, and career planning
• Maintain confidential student records and counselling reports
• Refer students to external professionals when necessary
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment
• Uphold ethical and professional counselling standards.
