SAP-BASIS Consultant (Oil and Gas) at Dangote

Key Responsibilities

• SAP System Administration: Administer and maintain SAP systems, including installation, configuration, and patching.
• System Performance Optimization: Optimize system performance, including database tuning, memory management, and system monitoring.
• Security and Authorization: Manage security and authorization, including user administration, role management, and audit logging.
• Data Management: Manage data , including data backup and recovery, data archiving, and data migration.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting services for SAP-BASIS systems.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with functional teams, including business users, project managers, and technical teams.
• Documentation and knowledge Management: Create and maintain documentation, including system documentation, user manuals, and knowledge base articles.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 7+ years of experience in SAP BASIS administration, specifically in the oil and gas sector.
• Oil and Gas Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the Oil and gas industry, including upstream, midstream and downstream operations.
• SAP-BASIS Knowledge: Strong knowledge of SAP-BASIS administration, including system installation, configuration and patching.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP-BASIS administration tools such as SAP GUI, SAP CCMS, and SAP Solution Manager.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, Collaboration and problem solving skills.
• Certifications: SAP certifications in SAP-BASIS administration or other related areas are preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA: Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, including system architecture and administration.
• Knowledge of SAP Cloud Technologies: Understanding of SAP on cloud platform, including cloud infrastructure and administration.
• Experience with Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
