Key Responsibilities
Identify new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve targets.
Provide technical advice and product knowledge to customers regarding spare parts.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
Collaborate with the product management team for proper ordering.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to maximize profitability.
Prepare regular sales reports and performance analysis.
Liaise with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure consistent product availability and timely delivery.
Oversee technical warranty claims to resolve part defects while protecting company interests.
Provide structured feedback to procurement regarding part performance and recurring technical failures.
Execute a structured territory visitation plan for industrial hubs to increase brand visibility.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in automotive spare parts sales in Nigeria.
Strong knowledge of vehicle spare parts (OEM and aftermarket).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Driving experience with a valid driver’s license.
Computer literacy and Proficiency in CRM software and accounting tools (e.g., Zoho, QuickBooks) for sales tracking and reporting.
Strong analytical skills for sales forecasting and monitoring gross profit margins.
Willingness to travel extensively to various industrial hubs and commercial motor parks within assigned territories.
Knowledge of the competitive landscape and the ability to distinguish between genuine and counterfeit parts.
