    Sales Consultant

    We are recruiting for the following role on behalf of our client, a group of companies into luxury interior design, fitness and wellness solutions.

    Role Description: To contribute towards the exploitation of business opportunities (both retail and specifier driven) leading towards boosting sales revenue for the organization.

    Reports To:

    1st Line Superior: Team Lead

    2nd Line Superior: Group Head

    Educational Qualifications /Certification     

    First Degree (B.Sc) in any discipline

    JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

    Sales & Business Development      

    • Building and maintaining rapport with key clients; Hospitality, Corporate bodies, Fitness & Gym Outfits, Contractors, and Individuals, identifying new opportunities.
    • Responsible for the selling activities with key customers, inclusive of customer interaction, prioritizing effectively and in accordance with the KPN’s objectives.
    • Demonstrating products to existing/potential customers and assists in selecting those best suited to their needs.
    • Establishing, developing, and maintaining business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products.
    • Developing clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
    • Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products.
    • Keeping abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
    • Participating in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows and telemarketing events.
    • Communicating new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
    • Negotiating trading terms with customers which meet volume and pricing goals.
    • Dealing with major complaints, complex claims, and other problems.
    • Following the BPL code of ethics and compliance rules
    • Doing anything else that will help the Sales leadership team make excellent decisions for the business and partner with building construction companies and other proposed clients to create sales opportunities.
    • Documents and Records Management          
    • Carry out physical checks of all received products, confirming correctness with details of the original purchase order and other (shipping) documentation as well as the absence of damaged goods.

    Stock Management

    • Input inventory information in stocks records/documentation (e.g., Excel spreadsheets, Goods Received Notes, Location sheets, stock count sheets etc) and reconcile with physical stock.
    • Periodic stock issuance records reconciliation with physical stock
    • Participate in periodic stock counts and extensive stock-taking exercises in line with count schedules and stock take process
    • Ensuring the accuracy and safety of stock and stock handling procedures.

    Supply Management

    • Execute transfer of products from warehouse/store to showroom for pick up by clients.
    • Verification of deliveries or pickups for accuracy

    Warehouse/Showroom

    • Timely Racking and warehouse space utilization
    • Maintaining a clean and well-organized warehouse at every point in time in line with tagging policy

    Liaison

    Maintain healthy courteous relationship and effective communication between the unit and other departments such as Sales and Technical
