We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant with prior pharmacy experience to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to support daily retail pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist customers with over-the-counter (OTC) products and general healthcare inquiries
Provide accurate product information and recommend appropriate pharmacy products
Support pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions (where permitted by regulation)
Maintain inventory, restock shelves, and monitor expiry dates
Process sales transactions using POS systems
Handle customer queries, complaints, and returns professionally
Ensure store cleanliness and compliance with pharmacy regulations
Assist in receiving and checking deliveries of pharmaceutical supplies
Promote health and wellness products to meet sales targets
Requirements
Previous experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare retail environment
Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical products and medical terminology
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent customer service orientation
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting
Basic computer and POS system proficiency
High school diploma or equivalent (Pharmacy technician certification is a plus)
