    Sales and Marketing Assistant

    Industry: Hospitality

    Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

    Our client, a prestigious player in the hospitality sector is seeking to fill the role of a Sales & Marketing Assistant charged with leading the sales team to reach sales targets.

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading, developing, and implementing sales strategies. The role holder will oversee the functions of guest services, profit management, and other sales functions that will promote the services of the organization.

    Job Description:

    • Design and manage the implementation of strategic sales plans for the organization.
    • Set sales goals, compare performance to goals, and adjust goals as needed
    • Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement them
    • Develop and implement advertising, public relations, and promotional programs on all digital platforms.
    • Familiarise with the successful practices of competitors and recommend strategies or sales tactics designed to grow revenue and manage expenses.
    • Document all sales calls and other sales activities using a sales database system. This includes Market Planner, Market Segment Activity planner, Weekly Sales report, et al.
    • Establish and maintain relations with tour operators and corporate companies to grasp sales opportunities (participating in promotional actions: roadshows, workshops, partnerships on major one-shot offers).
    • Empower sales team to deliver guest service by encouraging and rewarding responsive guest assistance.
    • Assist with training teammates on understanding policies, pay procedures, and benefits.

    Person Specification:

    • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
    • Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in Sales/ Marketing or similar role preferably within the hospitality industry
    • Proven ability to lead a team to meet quotas
    • Experience setting sales goals and managing sales performance
    • Result-oriented with strong analytical skills
    • Deep understanding of contract laws
