    Our client is a thriving safety consulting company, seeking to recruit safety marshals across various site in Nigeria. This is a contract role, renewable upon excellent performance and continuance of project. 

    Job Descriptions

    • Conduct daily Toolbox Talks (TBT) to communicate task-specific hazards and control measures.
    • Monitor, enforce, and document compliance with all HSE rules, policies, and statutory requirements.
    • Verify the identity, certification, and competency of all personnel on site to ensure they match approved roles and tasks.
    • Exercise Stop-Work Authority to immediately halt any unsafe activity or potential hazard.
    • Conduct routine site inspections and hazard observations, escalating non-compliance to supervisors.
    • Participate in incident/near-miss reporting and support preliminary investigations.
    • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce disciplinary actions when necessary.
    • Support the implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) systems and verify that work permits are adhered to.
    • Maintain updated records of daily safety activities, attendance, briefings, and compliance status.
    • Collaborate with site supervisors to ensure safe execution of all tasks and promote a strong safety culture.

    Job Requirements

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • OND may be accepted with HSE certifications.
    • HSE Levels 1, 2 & 3 (or equivalent)
    • First Aid/CPR certification
    • Minimum of 1–3 years experience in HSE operations for an HSE Officer.
    • Experience working on construction, aviation, manufacturing, oil & gas, or technical project sites is an advantage.
    • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, safe work practices, and industry standards.
    • Proficiency in Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
    • Ability to identify hazards, enforce controls, and perform site safety inspections.
    • Skilled in incident/near-miss reporting and preliminary investigations.
    • Ability to validate personnel identity, certification, and competency.
    • High level of integrity and firmness in enforcing safety rules
