This is a full-time on-site role for a Risk and Compliance Officer based in Lagos State, Nigeria. The Risk and Compliance Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and oversight of compliance programs to ensure the company's adherence to regulatory requirements. They will monitor and assess the effectiveness of control measures, conduct compliance risk assessments, prepare regular reports for senior management, and stay updated on industry regulatory changes. Additional tasks include handling internal audits, addressing compliance issues, and providing training and support to staff on regulatory topics.
The role also requires an adequate understanding of the Nigerian Capital market, a good working relationship with NSE and SEC an uncompromising integrity, Proficiency in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance
Qualifications
SEC sponsored Individual – Compliance
Minimum of (5) year’s hands on experience in an asset management/stockbroking firm
Strong Analytical Skills
Experience in Finance and Financial Services
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
Professional certification in Risk Management or Compliance is an added advantage
