Rigger Technician at VDT Communications Ltd

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Rigger Technician to join our team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for rigging, installation, and maintenance of telecommunication equipment and infrastructure, including towers, masts, and rooftop sites.
• This role is vital to ensuring the reliability and safety of our network operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and dismantle telecom towers, antennas, and related equipment.
• Perform tower climbing and rigging activities while adhering to safety protocols.
• Carry out installation of RF cables, feeders, and other telecom accessories.
• Conduct site inspections, rigging checks, and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure all rigging work meets industry standards and company specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians during equipment installation and upgrades.
• Complete job reports and documentation accurately and on time.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.

Requirements

• SSCE/OND/Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
• Minimum of 1–3 years experience in telecom rigging or similar field.
• Certified in Tower Climbing Safety & Rescue (preferred).
• Physically fit, with no height phobia and ability to work in challenging outdoor environments.
• Strong understanding of rigging tools, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work outside regular hours when required.
